You jump from one trade to another, always looking for the next shiny object. It’s the equivalent of a dog seeing a squirrel in the yard, you no longer have that dog’s attention. Somehow we are always distracted. There’s always a new toy to play with.

Social media doesn't help either. I’m sure were all aware of the ill effects that Instagram and Facebook has on our attention span. Plenty of financial guru’s promoting the ‘laptop’ lifestyle. Work remotely, be your own boss, make $1000 / week with this brilliant new scalping technique.

So you finally take the step to purchase a scalping course to start your day trading journey. There’s so much money out there, I’m a pretty smart guy - surely I can make this thing work.

You’ll quickly find out that scalping / day-trading is extremely perilous. You enter a position and initially your in the green. Your excitement quickly fades when the trade reverses and your now down $400. In a blink of a eye.

These low time frames (1m/5m/1H) move at incredible speed, and in turn requires you to make really fast decisions, that usually don’t work out in your favor. High trading frequencies firms poses automatic trading software that are constantly manipulating the price.

If I’m not mistaken, Citadel Securities made 4 billion of profit (not revenue) with their proprietary trading system. Where you think that money comes from? Exactly, from day traders much like ourself’s.

All day your glued to that screen, watching candles whip around. Constantly moving from excitement to disappointment. Or even anger. It’s a emotional rollercoaster. Now you turn on Bloomberg Television to get up the minute news, hoping it will give you that edge.

In 8 hours time, you tried 3 different trading strategies, several new indicators and used 3 time frames. At the end of the day your mentally exhausted. You check your account and see that you lost $950 for the day. All that busy work and you accomplished nothing.

If this sounds like you, don’t feel discouraged. I’ve been on this journey too. I squandered years of my life trying to day trade, only to end in big financial losses until I finally tuned things around.

What actually changed my life is slowing down and really study price movements of a chart. I went to the daily chart and started a deep dive on trend, support and resistance.

I removed all the noise; news, influencers, twitter, yahoo finance and not to forget Goldman Sachs analysts. I created a qualified watch list of stocks that are the early stages of reversing and have potential in 2 weeks from now. This required allot of waiting and patience.

By slowing down, I was actually able to see the fingerprints of institutions purchasing shares. I found out that there’s no easier way to make money in the market by following large institutions and waiting for the next entry.

I take about 10-15 trades for the entire month, but each trade is of very high quality. I’m extremely selective and I require the stock to proof itself to me. After I take the position I generally hold on to the position for about 7-14 days.

Great trades take time to develop. Don’t be in a rush to take profits. The real money is made in sitting, not trading itself.

After I make a 7 - 10% gain, I sell the position for a profit. It doesn't bother me one bit if continues to go up after that. I’ve executed my plan to a tee and grew my account. I’m already on to the next opportunity.

I spend around 1,5 hours in the morning to go through my qualified watch-list and identify new trading setups. This preparation is essential for success, it allows me anticipate movements before they happen. When the market opens and everything starts moving fast, I know exactly what to do.

When the bell opens, I do a general overview of about 1 hour to get a feel of the broader market, mostly the SPY500 and look how my trades are reacting and performing.

But I don’t micro-management the trade, I don’t start tickling with the dials and start second guessing. Once I take a position, I stick with the strategy 100%. It’s out of my hands.

Swing trading allows me to be a profitable trader, enjoy a good lifestyle and still have plenty of time for recreation. Instead of spending 10 hours a day hypnotized by trading candles and being exposed to emotional pitfalls of the market, I sit back and let the trade come to me.

To me its clear as day - the less you trade, the more you achieve. Don’t you agree?

Dell is undeniably overvalued right now, having benefited from government backing and a wave of insider trading. While skeptics warn that a market correction is imminent, the stock continues to thrive because it operates in the booming semiconductor sector, and investors remain captivated by the company's growth narrative.

Never short a stock like this, markets can stay irrational for a long time. I’m not in the business of PREDICTING. Price gives you all the insight you need. Stay Long on this one.

Just 4 years ago, Robinhood was one of the most heavily criticized companies in the market after it restricted trading and liquidated users' GameStop positions without their explicit permission—a move many believed was designed to protect large institutional trading firms.

It’s sold off heavily, down towards $10 a share in 2022, before resurrection to a whooping $150 in October 2025. Ever since it’s been a strong downtrend - reaching a low of $62 - but the chart is telling me it’s fortune is about to change.

Now on to the more daily technicals. It broke it’s downtrend and briefly touches $94 at the end of May. Very common pullback and buyers stepped up once again, now reaching a high of $112.

After a brief sell-off towards $100 it’s now trying to find it’s feet. It’s currently testing previous resistance. I call this a return to the ‘scene of the crime’. If buyers show up here, it’s confirms me that next wave up is imminent.

The white candle you see at the moment, is a good starts - but not yet strong evidence of buyers entering

I patiently waiting for PROOF that buyers are stepping up.

Last but not least, everybody’s favorite semiconductor .

The chip-designer has benefited tremendously from the insatiable demand for AI chips. Recently they announced a new partnership with to power their new AI Spark laptops.

From a fundamental standpoint, ARM is a wonderful company. Great earnings, MOAT, low capital expenditures and I foresee that the demand for AI chips will last well into 2027/2028.

That being said, I put ARM last on the list because the explosive growth has been priced into the chart. It’s up more then 200% since early 2026.

I would be a little more cautious here, but I’m looking at it from a perspective of trading it. It’s trying to find support around the $340 level and it’s currently up 2.81% in pre-market as we speak.

If buyers step up around the $340 / $350, I see no reason why it could not go back to the previous top of $440. This would be a very profitable trade of around 25%.

This one is a little more risky, but the juice is worth the squeeze.

The most profitable trades is when get on early on the reversals. Most people overlook it, because their to busy looking at hourly candles trying to scalp.

If you slow down, you can actually see when institutions and pensions funds are picking up shares. They can’t hide. It’s in the price.

My job is to identify those reversals, or as I call them pivot points. It’s where a particular stock is so undervalued that smart money starts buying large quantities.

At some point the stock will say “I don’t want to sell of anymore” and that’s when you got to pay close attention.

Most traders are fighting the charts on 1 hour candles, making 50 trades per week, second guessing and jumping ship from one trade to another. At the end of the week they end up with nothing.

I rather have 1 really profitable position that I can hold for 3 weeks that 25 small trades that lead nowhere.

The Stupid:

• Self evident. I think he’s specifically talking about ‘financial stupidity’.

• If you don’t understand why it’s better to trade AI stocks like or compared to auto stocks like or it is probably wise to not be a stock picker and invest your money into the S&P500.

• If your not thinking about the ‘larger’ game of speculation and not understand that the ENTIRE market is setup to TAKE your money.

  

The Mentally Lazy:

• Most traders don’t even want to do the work, all they care about is getting rich.

• His only desire is to be told what particular stock to buy (stock-tip).

• As-well as an indicator that tells them exactly when to buy. (red light / green light)

• They don’t even want to put in the work or wish to think independently.

  

• People think they can just wake up 9:20AM, grab some coffee, turn on the computer and they are ‘ready’ to trade.

• Market opens and everything start move quickly, you trade the first big candle, jump from one stock to another - only to end up losing $700 on the day. You end up completely exhausted mentally.

• Successful trading requires preparation. I have a list of almost 400 stocks I spit through every day, the find the very best trading setups. This takes time and discipline but the trade is made WEEKS before I actually take the position.

The Man of Inferior Emotional Balance:

• The make it as a trader you need to have a certain type of personality. You need to be able to stay calm under pressure, not waiver from your strategy. I call it ‘poise’.

• If I take a position - after careful preparation - I let the market do it’s thing. I don’t get shaken out of the position. I don’t micro-manage myself out of healthy profit.

• I fully commit to the strategy. I don’t predict what is going to happen or second guess.

• I see this all the time: a trader takes a position around the $100 mark, a stop-loss of around 4.00% ($96). First day of trading he’s up 1.00% and delighted. Next day he’s down to $97.

• He’s this close to getting stopped out. He doens’t understand why the stock he picked is deeply in the black so tries to find news to justify the selling.

• He watches the candle wiggle around all day, this close to the edge. In the end, he sells his position manually, thinking its over for the stock.

• The next day the stock pop’s 6.00%.

• You micro-managed yourself out of the position.

• It’s not for you to decide if the stocks eventually moves higher or not.

• Be patient, let the market play out naturally.

The Get Rich Adventurer:

• I break them down into two category’s: the WallStreetBet Gen-Z generation who uses tremendous leverage with options. They blow away their account and post about it online.

• The familiar story of the guy who gambles away his $10.000 he got from his grandma. By using extreme leverage, the $10.000 turns into $400.000. Life changing money.

• Yet, just a few days later he loses it ALL after trying the same trick again on another stock.

• WallStreetBet is full of stories like this, most of these guys end of completely broke because they cannot replicate it.

  

• The other ‘Get Rich Adventurer’ is the guy who wants to find the needle in the haystack. The Diamond in the rough.

• Instead of investing into companies with a MOAT like or he’s looking for penny stocks that can 100x.

• For example; a biotechnology stocks that claims to have found the formula to end male baldness. The magic elixir that will grow back hair!

• He commits 5 minutes of research and listens to the CEO saying his company is going to take over the world and become the next

• The stock is trading cheap, around $1.20

• He invest all his savings, and already starts counting his money.

• If this goes to $50 / share I’m going to be rich!

• The opposite happens, it drops to $0.80, $0.50 and finally $0.10

• The product never makes it to market, the company files for bankruptcy and the stock gets de-listed.

Or I have a PhD in Economics, look at economic data going back to the 60’s and write long drawn out articles on SubStack so I can sound like the smartest guy in the room.
